Need Driver/DLL details which is used to connect to Sybase ASE from PB App.

Hi All,

 

Could anyone please help on what are the exact driver/DLL files PowerBuilder will be looking for connecting to Sybase ASE Database V16?

We have an app built on PowerBuilder 2022 R3 Build 3356, we have a client machine where below Sybase Driver is installed.

SAP ASE ODBC Driver 16.0 SP04 PL06 (SDK for Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 16.0 SP04 PL06)

 

We tried using DBMS as "ASE" and it is not working PowerBuilder App is unable to find the client librariers to connect to Database (Error: Error loading client library DLLs. Unable to connect to server.)

 

In ODBC Page when I try to create a new connection using Adaptive Server Enterprice, I could see the driver detail as "SYBDRVODB.DLL", and with this drive I am able to connect to DB. However the issue happens only via PowerBuilder App.

 

To communicate to Tech support, I need to give them exact driver details PowerBuilder will be using to connect to ASE Database.
