Hello,
I would like to ask whether Appeon has plans to include native Git LFS integration in future versions of PowerBuilder, specifically support for file locking (LFS Lock/Unlock) directly from within the IDE.
In some projects, it is necessary to lock a critical file during a refactoring process to prevent teammates from modifying it until the final version is completed. Git LFS already supports file locking, but since the PowerBuilder IDE does not currently display lock status or offer lock/unlock actions, developers must rely on external tools such as Git command-line utilities or TortoiseGit.
Would Appeon consider adding features such as:
- Native Git LFS file lock/unlock actions inside the IDE
- Visual indicators showing which files are locked and by whom
- Automatic prevention of edits when a file is locked by another developer
This type of integration would greatly improve workflows for teams working with Git and needing controlled access to specific files during sensitive development tasks like refactoring.
Thank you in advance.
