Is Solution Slower in IDE than Workspace PBLs?

Good Day!

I have successfully migrated my product workspace source to PB25 GA. It works just fine, both in the IDE and deployed EXE/PBDs. I then copied my source to a new project folder and converted this to a Solution. It went off without a hitch, but here are some numbers I noted.

 

Full Rebuild in IDE (Time in MINUTES:SECONDS)

Solution: 02:49 - Excellent!

Workspace PBLs: 10:10

 

IDE Run Application Startup (Time in SECONDS.MILLISECONDS)

Solution: 11.48 Seconds

Workspace PBLs: 01.63 Seconds

Is there something I need to change to get the Solution source to start faster in the IDE? My gut is telling me this is simply due to PBs flat file source... kind of like Visual Studio. Something else I noticed was that when I start my application in the IDE as a Solution, some weird splash screen opens first. It looks like a PB icon or the like.

Please note that the EXE/PBD execution is just as fast irrespective of source type, so my users will be fine. I just wonder about developer productivity if we switch to Solution. I am sure I missed something, so any assistance would be appreciated.
