Hi All
Just an idea for Appeon (if it does not exist already).
Why cant we have a wizard (automated process) like the old WebSerivce Wizard in PB 12 that could automatically convert a NVO to a WebService, created proxies, deployed to IIS and expose the methods\functions all automatically ? Why cant Appeon do a similar wizard by converting NVO quickly to Web API in the PB IDE ?
Instead of using SnapDevelop (adding PB workspace, followed by using PB Migrator converting PB function), then stacking (controllers, implement, model) C# coding etc... T
The use case is where you only need to convert ONE NVO quickly and not whole app (or several datawindows). Embedding the PB migrator into a wizard that does all the work of converting NVO to Web API and automatically deploying to PowerServer (does all the C# coding).
I'm using PB 2019 R3 and playing around with PB 2022. In PB2017 i thought that appeon is going that route where you could select nvo (not sure if it was a project) and could convert code to C# in the IDE but it did not deploy to IIS or PowerServer.
Am I simplifying matters to much....
Regards
Benjamin
