We have a legacy application developed in PowerBuilder 6.5 and are evaluating an upgrade to PowerBuilder 2021.

We would like to understand the recommended upgrade approach and any challenges we should anticipate during the migration.

Could you please provide guidance on the following:

1.Is a direct upgrade from PowerBuilder 6.5 to PowerBuilder 2021 supported, or are intermediate version upgrades required?
2.What are the key compatibility considerations for:PBL libraries
DataWindows
User objects
External DLL integrations
Database connectivity
3.Are there any tools or migration utilities available to assist with the upgrade process?
4.What common issues have customers encountered when upgrading from such an older PowerBuilder version?
5.Are there any prerequisites, best practices, or recommended upgrade paths documented by Appeon?
6.Is a full code review and remediation typically required before importing the application into PowerBuilder 2021?
Our application is currently running on PowerBuilder 6.5, and we would appreciate any documentation, migration guides, or recommendations that can help us plan the upgrade effectively.
