Dear Appeon support
I've already sent you the most critical points that we noticed in PB 2025.
There are also some less important suggestions regarding the IDE, I'd like to share with you.
Ctrl+Click instead of Rightclick->Jump
In other IDEs, you can jump using Ctrl+Click. This would be really useful in PB too.
Implement Jump on variable names
Jump only works on type names. It would be nice if it was also possible on variable names,
either to jump to the declaration or at least to jump to the implementation:
Implement Jump on function/event names
Same here, jump to function would be a useful improvement:
Show the preamble of functions on mouse hover
If you hover over a function, the IDE shows you it's prototype:
It would be nice, if it also showed the first n lines of the code as a preview (or even better the topmost comments).
Content of Find box gets overwritten too often
If you open the new find/replace box, it always copies the leftmost word at the current cursor location to the search field.
This is irritating to me, it should only do this if I highlighted some code.
If I didn't, it should show the previous search expression instead.
History in Find box should be accessible using the upwards arrow key
In all IDEs I know, the history in the search box goes bottom to top (arrow key up to access the most recently used search expression).
In PB 2025, the search history goes top to bottom (arrow key down to access the most recently used expression).
I hope these points are helpful for you and I look forward to the GA release of PB 2025.
Regards, Simon
