The PowerScript language has made no progress over the years,no generics, no asynchronous calls, no iterators, no support for Lambda expressions, and no support for regular expressions.

The new code editor claimed in 2025 still has very limited functionality.

It doesn't even have a code beautification feature, and the code folding feature is also imperfect (when there is an & and line break).

The Solution mode is simply unusable. It reports an error as soon as it is compiled.

 

The high DPI feature is not needed at all. It could have been achieved through the manifest file long ago.

In the 2025 version, inserting an Ole control still crashes. It's really disappointing.

 

Back in the days when it was in the hands of PowerSoft, each new version released a great many new features. But now, the number of new features in each new version of PB is really pitifully small.
