Hi,
I recently downloaded PowerBuilder 2025 R2 and was excited to try it out. I’ve configured the script editor with a dark theme, but I’ve run into an issue with how certain characters are displayed - specifically: '+, -, <, >, and =.
You can reproduce the issue with the following steps:
- Go to Tools > System Options, open the General tab, and set PowerBuilder Runtime version to one of the following:
- 25.0.0.3683
- 25.0.0.3711
- 25.0.0.3726
- Click OK and restart PowerBuilder.
- Go to Design > Options, then:
- In the Editor Font tab, set:
- Font: Consolas
- Style: Regular
- Size: 10
- Text colour: Lime
- Background: Red
- In the Coloring tab:
- Enable syntax coloring
- Set text colour to Lime and background to Red for all color settings.
- In the Editor Font tab, set:
- Click OK.
- Open a nonvisual object, go to one of its events, and type the following characters:
- = + < >
You’ll notice that these characters do not follow the defined colour settings.
With my actual dark theme, this makes these characters very difficult to read.
I would prefer not to disable syntax coloring, and I’m currently unable to move to runtime version 25.1.0.6430.
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jostein
