Well the real reason why is that the Windows ARM can only run 64 bit intel based apps.

And I want to run PB on Mac M3 based hardware.

I think maybe running PB in a Docker container in Parallels-Desktop on MacOs ?

Parallels have support for x86 Docker

would that be an option ?

If you want to run PB 64-bit applications, you can compile in 64 bit even now.

Or you want to use the PB IDE there?

He wants to run the IDE on a Windows ARM 64-bit computer. It's a Mac...

64-bit Windows 11 OS has 32-bit x86 emulation mode even though the OS itself is running at 64-bit against 64-bit ARM processors. Have you tried Windows 11 verify it really doesn't work? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/apps-on-arm-x86-emulation

Hi Steen;

  A 64 bit IDE is on the 2025 roadmap but I suspect that this will be either an R2 or R3 implementation. I don't have anything more concrete to tell you at the moment.

In that case can we have a 32 bit application developed in PB ?

Hi Sivaprakash;

Another good reason is to work directly with 64 bit OLE, OCX, etc controls.

Then there should be two editions of PB, one for 32 bit and another for 64 bit.

Hi.

I don't believe there will be a x64 version of the IDE for PB 2025 GA. Don't know when you should expect a x64 version of the IDE. Haven't seen any related announcement.

Andreas.
