Hi everybody:

Need to upgrade to PowerServer 2019 in order to be able to deploy apps on Android 8.1.0 and higher.

My current production environment:

Development machine:

- Appeon PowerBuilder Universal Edition 2017 R3 Build 1858
- PowerServer Toolkit 2017 R3 Build 1858.00
- PowerServer (PB Edition) 2017 R3 Build 1858.00

Server machine:

- Appeon PowerServer 2017 Build 1858.00

Everything is working fine.

Which of the elements of my production scenario would be incompatible with PowerServer 2019 and what to do (apart from upgrading PowerServer itself in the server machine) to resolve the incompatibility?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Miguel;

  In order to use PS2019 ... You need to install PB2017R3 "Universal Edition" MR02 build 1880 and the corresponding PS Toolkit build 1880.

Regards ... Chris

1) No - the current PS2019 installation for development is a "standalone" version. It will not change your PS Toolkit version under the PB2017R3 IDE.

Note1: The "PS2019 for PB" version will start shipping with the PB2019 Universal edition. That will change your PS Toolkiit to version 2002 (could be higher in GA release - 2002, was for beta#2)

2) Please contact sales@appeon.com to verify if your PS2019 is already paid for as part of your yearly PS maintenance agreement.

3) PS2019 was released into production in January, 2019.
