Hi, I have a question about the notifications when the app is executing background, How can I achieve this? Or if this function is not implemented yet, Is there any plans to introduce it?

Hi Arturo and Chris,

I am in the same situation, trying to pop up a message on the notification bar (via eon_mobile_notification) but the message is not showing up if the app is in background, which makes it quite unpractical.

Best,

Hi Marco;

FYI: I have noticed that Android notifications behave differently than iOS ones. Which O/S are you referring to?

FWIW: I always send notifications in my mobile App's when they active in the foreground. I have not tried the background notification route. Sounds like it could be a bug. You might like to submit a Support Ticket for this.

Regards ... Chris

Hi Arturo;

  Are you talking about "Server Push" based notifications to the PS Mobile App - where in turn, the App uses the Mobile "Notification" object to drive the notification message to the device user?

thanks for your attention chris,

what I trying to do is if my Ps mobile app is running in the background, send notifications to the phone notification bar from the same app.

Have you tried this using the PowerServer "eon_mobile_notification" object class located in the PS supplied "WorkArounds" PBL?

This shows how to have your app run with the main window hidden with an icon in the system notification area. It also shows displaying notification messages.

Hello, thank you for your advice but I forget to say I'm talking about power server mobile, not desktop application.
