Hi ,

I would to ask if can I upgrade a sybase Powerbuilder application from 10.5 to Appeon 2017 R3?

I need to go between version or a can do directly from 10.5 to 2017.

Application is stand alone version.

Regards, Andrei

Hi ! Thanks of answers. I will try direct upgrade the code. Yes, I know the EOMM was in  2023.07.31 but EOF will be on 2025.

We have diff projects developed with 2017R3 and we had a project we didn´t migrate. The idea is to have all project with same version and maybe on the future (in next year) will migrate all projects to newer version.

Regards,

Hi Andrei, No, you do not need to go between versions.  You can jump directly to the latest version.

But just keep in mind when you jump to newer versions you do have to make some adjustments to your code to make it compatible with the latest changes of the newer versions.  Please refer to the upgrade guide: https://docs.appeon.com/pb/upgrading_pb_apps/index.html

Hi.

It will probably work. There are some objects that have been marked obsolete. That's for before migrating take a backup, then run the migration assistant to see if there are issues that should be handled.

Why your are upgrading to 2017 R3 which is EOMM?

Andreas.
