hey guys,

I'm testing PB 2022 64 bits with Sybase ASE 16 64 bits.
Open client installed: ASE SDK 16.0 64bits
PB does not find DLLs.
message: Error loading client DLLs. Unable to connect to server.
Any ideas to resolve?

Thank you already!

Hi Rafael ;

  Note that the PB IDE is still running in 32 bit mode. So you will need the ASE 32bit client for that.

  In PB 2022 IDE (& higher), the IDE can now run your Apps now in either 32 or 64bit mode. So you will need the 64bit ASE client for that.

  So in general, may I suggest installing both the 32 & 64 bit ASE clients on your PB IDE developer machine (they can co-exist BTW). That will satisfy both your IDE and your PB Apps.  HTH

Hi Chris,

Thank you already,

What intrigues me is that "Interactive SQL" and "central SQL" work and work with 32 bits.

Maybe environment variable? ("windows 11" )

Thanks in advance.. Rafa

Hi Rafa;

SQL Central uses it's own ASE connectivity and not your regular DB Client.

iSQL does use the ASE DB Client but can load either a 32bit or 64 bit "self" depending on what DB Client is installed.
