Hi.

I've found that DevMagic Studio preview version is available (Download DevMagic Studio | DevMagic Website). Can it be installed on a computer where SnapDevelop is already installed or there may be any conflict?

Also what are Appeon's plans about this IDE? Will it be a separate product? If yes, will it be available for free? Or will we have to buy another license?

Andreas.

Hi Andreas,

I can comment about the first question: Yes, it can coexist with SnapDevelop, their installation paths are separate. They're different products after all.

Regards,
Francisco

Hi Andreas,

It is completely separate and unrelated product from PowerBuilder family of products.  So yes, definitely it can co-exist.

This is early-stage product that will be adapting to the market situation, including competitive forces and customer demand, so we don't publish roadmap or religiously stick to a plan.

Yes, there is a completely free version available as mentioned on the DevMagic Studio product website.

Best regards,
Armeen

That's what I thought. I want to test it, but for some reason installation fails on my computer. I opened a support case.

Are there any plans to add a section in the forum (or create a dedicated one) where people could ask questions dedicated to DevMagic?

Andreas.

Yes, for DevMagic issues you would ask questions on DevMagic.com. At this point getting help is just through the support portal, but in the future we do plan to have Q&A. Please keep in mind this is "preview" release not even a beta version. It is only to give people an idea of what the new product would be.
