Hello,

In PB 10.5

One of our customers, require current page number to get printed at the bottom of the every page, in the Label type datawindow.  Is it possible ?

Hi Sivaprakash;

  Absolutely no problem. Here is one way (that I use) on how you could do that ...

1) Create your mailing label DWO.

2) Create either a Composite or Nested DataWindow and add a page count to the Footer band.

3) Add the label DWO to the DWO from step#2 in the detail band.

For example ...

Composite DWO:

Thanks, Chris

With your idea, we could solve this issue by creating a nested report as we had to pass string array and number array as parameters.

Welcome! Yes, a Nested parent DWO would work just as well as my composite example. :-)

Hi.

I don't believe there is a way to achieve that using the label type datawindow. This is a special type and has no footer / header e.t.c. The only thing you can modify is the area a label occupies.

But depending on the complexity of the labels they use it may be possible to imitate the functionality using for example a tabular datawindow. Of course this requires more time than the label type datawindow and can be really complex.

Andreas.
