Hi All,

I know Powerbuilder 12.5 was not supported for long time. But some of our customers are still using the products created using PB12.5.

I need to install PB12.5 on my new laptop.

Back in the day, I usually logged into https://sybase.subscribenet.com/ to generate the license file to install PB12.5

Now that site is gone I believe. I can't access it.

Does anyone know how I can create the new license file for the PB12.5 or be able to modify the existing license file that I have on my old computer?

Any advice or help would be very appreciated.

Happy Thanksgivings everyone!

-Kevin

you have to go to an SAP site for that.  No idea if they have the license stuff working or not.

this is such a nightmare for anyone using old PB stuff. good luck!

Thanks Mike for your reply.

We never have support with SAP. Basically we are out of luck. We will convince our customers to upgrade...

Hi Kevin;

FYI: the old 12.5 doesn't even support W10 properly or newer DBMS versions. For that you would need to be on an Appeon PB 2019 Rx release. For W11 support Appeon PB 2022 Rx release. So convincing your organization & customers to upgrade would be a very wise move IMHO not even just for the technical support. ;-)
