Hello

We are running Powerserver 2022 R3 using IIS on a Windows 2019 server.

If a window is idle for a short period the users often see the following error message:

We normally position the SetTransObject in the DataWindow's constructor event.

Research suggests changing the Transaction timeout setting may resolve the issue on the project's Build | Basic tab.

Originally we used the default settings of Session 3600 / Transaction 120 / Request 3600

We have varied the Transaction to 1800 and 3000 but we still get the same error.

The section from the server's Applications.json follows:

We have the "Overwrite server settings" checked.

Are we correct in assuming the problem can be solved in this area, or should we look elsewhere?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Please submit this issue to our Support Portal at https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug and upload the log file of the PowerServer Web APIs section for analysis. Let's see if we can find any useful information. The PowerServer log file is stored in the Web API bin folder, for example, `\ServerAPIs\bin\Release\net6.0\Logging\logs\powerserver.log`.

Regards,

David

Hi Bob,

Are you getting any error messages before that one? I believe if it were a timeout issue, you would first see a "Transaction does not exist" error (unless you're handling that on the systemerror event)

Francisco
