Hi

Today we tried app installation using powerclient. We activated iis and compiled using powerclient as application named pbclient .

On Client pc - we opened http://localhost/pbclient and we got a download installer page. On clicking it download cloudappinstaller. On executing the same installer did complete but application did not started.  But when manually below line ran from run command - application got installed. Can't it be automatic ?

C:\Users\sripal\AppData\Local\Launcher\CloudAppShell.exe pbapp //http://localhost/pbclient

Hi Sripal, I can guarantee you this works, and that your issue is caused by some config issue or other mistake you are making. It's hard to troubleshoot this over such forum. I suggest you purchase a Premium Support ticket and have our team set this up and configure it for you. https://www.appeon.com/premium-support.html

Hi Sripal,

Admin privileges are only required if you are installing the Cloud App Launcher with a background service.  The default setting is to install without a background service, which doesn't require admin privileges.

The without a background service option can't start your app automatically after install due to security reasons.  The first time you need to do a manual step of clicking the "Start" button in the HTML page that you downloaded the Cloud App Launcher from or you could refresh the URL.

If your users do have admin rights and you want to make the install procedure more seamless, then I would recommend to reconfigure your Cloud App Launcher to only run with a service.  With this option your app will automatically start after installation.  Customizing the Cloud App Launcher is covered in the documentation: https://docs.appeon.com/pb2019r3/pbug/ch07s03.html#uploading_the_app_launcher_and_runtime_files

Best regards,
Armeen
