Is it safe to install PowerBuilder 2017 Classic / PowerBuilder 2017 Trial version on same windows 7 workstation - which has also PowerBuiilder 9 development installed - without losing dll's etc. ?

Default install dir for PB2017 is C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\PowerBuilder 17.0.

Sure! Simply install it into a different base folder.
Example: Do not install into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sybase",
instead, install into "C:\Program Files (x86)\PB2017".
