InfoMaker 17 R3 running on a Windows 10 machine.

InfoMaker crashes every time I try to create a new report of any type or attempt to Edit an existing report using Design > data source.  The new report issue has been a long time pain in the @$$ and now the edit issues. Report editing was working earlier today but now it fails. At a loss on this.

PowerBuilder someties crashes if you open a painter and if it has stored wrong layout settings in registry.

Maybe there are same issues with InfoMaker?

In PB you can restore the default settings by deleting entries in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Sybase\PowerBuilder\19.0\Layout\Default.

I don't know where Infomaker stores its Layout settings.

HTH,

René

Hi René ;

I suspect that you are correct about this possibility. InfoMaker though stores it's default layouts in the O/S Registry under the key ...

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Sybase\InfoMaker\19.0\Layout\Default

HTH

Sorry about that ..... MS SQL and all of this for reporting on the Cascade Asset Managment system.  As far as any changes, only time has changed.  The all (InfoMaker) was open and running, I made a few changes to an existing report, closed InfoMaker and went about other things. An hour or so later I was asked to make another change to a different report and when I attempted to open that report in design view, pop, InfoMaker just shuts down, gone. I've tried other reports, same result, reboot PC, no change. It doesn't seem to be logging to Appeon correctly, just a guess here.

I have see some issues around the ODBC connection ot SQL Server, if you are using ODBC then you could install the updated version.

Otherwise I have not got a clue, sorry.
