Hi There!

I am still an Infomaker rookie. One of the reports I am trying to edit has an external function call in the compute expression. (I hope I got the jargon correct.) In the compute expression box I see something like f_customfunction(mydatabasefield). I am unable to save the pbl because infomaker doesn't know what the function is. Through much exploration, I found .pbd files that has the function it couldn't find. Is there a way to load the .pbd file into infomaker? I was able to do this in PowerBuilder - but I only have a temporary license to use that.

Hi Daren;

  It sounds like that Global Function (it's proper name) is in a Library (PBL) that is currently not in your InfoMaker's Library List (aka a PBL file).

Note that you can also add a PBD (compiled PBL) in to your InfoMaker's Library List as well. Once IM can see that Global Function object in it's Library List, you should be able to perform the "Save" operation OK.  HTH

Regards ... Chris
