Hello team,

We want to deploy ejb3.0 using powerbilder 2017 build 1666.

Ejb2.0 jars we can deploy in PB 2017 because it has remote and home interface class name but ejb3.0 jars is not supportive and cant deploy because we do not have home interface class name in it.

Deploying ejb3 jar without home interface class name is giving exception.

Kindly suggest, what are the options available to use ejb3 jars and how can we deploy it in PB 2017.

Please suggest, if any sample code is available to check alternate solution.

Ours is old banking domain application and first we want to know ejb3 solution otherwise if its not possible then suggest other options.

Thanks

Sourabh

Are you saying you have developed EJBs to a Java app server and  you want to call those EJBs from your PowerBuilder app?  If  yes, we recommend exposing those EJBs as REST/JSON Web APIs.  PB 2017 R3 has support for REST and JSON.

Yes ejb3.0 is from java app server but we dont want to use any web api, we want to deploy ejb3 in pb 2017 same as we do for ejb2.

Is PB 2017 build 1666 is different from PB 2017 R3?

Sorry, that is not supported. Our direction for integrating with Java or any language for that matter deployed to an app server is through Web APIs.
