Hi Roland, Couple years ago our original plan was to natively support the TFVC repository of TFS, but now we have postponed this feature and may even cancel it because it appears Microsoft is standardizing on Git as the repository for TFS. Since TFS 2015 the default repository has been Git, and you may be aware that Microsoft acquired GitHub earlier this year.
I see. Yes, you can use the traditional SCC API to connect PB to TFVC. We have many customers doing this approach, and this approach does not require any third-party bridge solutions.
Roland I've got VS 2017, rests of 2015 and necessarily the teamexplorer of 2013 installed. Be prepared for malfunctioning of the SCC Api due to the conflicts. It just doesn't work right. I've got 2017 running on a VM with only VS 2013 Teamexplorer installed and on that configuration everything seems to work a lot better. (except for constantly getting the error of not being able to get the PBD files, even if I delete all of them and start over). It doesn't seem to respect the user you assign when using multiple VS on the same machine.
We've gone back to the good old VSS 2005 (yes that's 2005) until things clear up for TFS.
