Hi, i am using PowerServer 2021 Developer included in my PB CloudPro.

Installed an app and published on a remote web server (IIS) to test how it works. Everything working fine as expected, but i've noticed that sometimes (not so often but it happens) i get an error 231 when i run the first time the app from a client: "The application license is invalid"

When i close the messagebox and start again the app everything working good. It happened only few times but i was curious to understand if it could be something i missed inside the app or a webserver configuration.

What could cause this behaviour?

tia, Simone.

Hi Simone,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We’ve reproduced the issue and it’s an occasional issue caused by the license verification exception on the PowerServer end. The developers are handling this on top priority and we are going to optimize the code to avoid this issue in the next version

Regards,
ZhaoKai

Hi Kai, for me it is not really an issue since it is happening really not so often, thank you!

Hi Simone;

  PowerServer applications use the PowerClient feature to deploy and control the PS App from the Web Server's POV. PC does not require any licensing. Once the PS App starts (via PowerClient) however, it tries to connect to PS and that is where the error (AFAIK) would be coming from.

  Have you checked the PS Log to see if there are other license issues being logged?

Regards ... Chris

Thanks for checking! Is the App in development and the deployment machine(s) using the same PS Server instance?

yes, same instance.

during rebuild process inside snapdevelop im noticing a warning just now, but not sure if it is relating to this issue:

S:\Program Files\Appeon\SnapDevelop 2021\Tools\MSBuild\Current\Bin\Microsoft.Common.CurrentVersion.targets (2084,5) : warning MSB3270 : There was a mismatch between the processor architecture of the project being built "MSIL" and the processor architecture of the reference "C:\Users\Utente\.nuget\packages\ibm.data.db2.core-lnx\3.1.0.300\lib\netstandard2.1\IBM.Data.DB2.Core.dll", "AMD64". This mismatch may cause runtime failures. Please consider changing the targeted processor architecture of your project through the Configuration Manager so as to align the processor architectures between your project and references, or take a dependency on references with a processor architecture that matches the targeted processor architecture of your project.

Well that looks very strange. I would suggest opening a support ticket for these errors so that Appeon Engineering can have a deeper look into these problem aspects.
