Hopefully this is an easy one !

I am sure there is documentation on this but i cannot find it.

I am trying to run my new web app on chrome - it runs fine on several machines but fails on one.

I open the page, it downloads the browser plug in - then i click install but the app still doesn't run.

I am told it worked once but it does not now - can i clear the 'settings' or reset the chrome browser - is there any troubleshooting information. If i close the browser and try again - it goes back to the same

downloading Appeon multi-browser plug-in.....

regards and thanks in advance

Hi Andrew;

Have you tried downloading the multi-browser plug-in installation appeonbrowser.exe from the PowerServer installation folder ... "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\appeon\weblibrary_ax\crossbrowser" directly to the affected PC and then run this EXE as "ADMIN"?

Regards ... Chris

Here is a link how to reset Chrome back to default: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en

Then I would verify that the Chrome settings are as follows: https://docs.appeon.com/appeon_online_help/ps2019/installation_guide/ch05s02s01.html#d0e2379

Finally, make sure to delete the "Appeon" folder under C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\

But I would recommend you deploy your Web project as an IWA (Installable Web App) instead of trying to run it in the web browser.  This way, the web browser settings won't affect how your app runs and the user can set the settings of Chrome as strict as they like.

Hi,

IWA solves a lot of problems because you do not have to dial with browsers.

BUT

if you are using datawindows with IWA they have the old classic style. So they look different.

That is the reason we do not use IWA.

IWA behaves different from running the app in s browser.

IT would be really nice that IWA supports not only the old classic dw style.

Best regard

Heino

Hi Heino, We think by PowerServer 2021 we will be able to address this.
