Hello fellows?

Anybody may provide an example of application code for a microservices-based architecture application or any other reference or documentation for Powerbuilder in the latest versions? ...

Thanks in advanced ...

On CodeXchange we have an example of how to call a REST Web service from PowerBuilder 2017 R2/R3: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/codeexchange/powerbuilder/24-consume-restful-web-services#24

If you are looking to create a Web service then I would recommend you wait for PB 2018, it will have a new REST Web API target, which you can learn about here: https://www.appeon.com/pb2018.html

I checked Wikipedia to see what 'microservices-based architecture' was and it appears to be where the tasks performed by each service call is a much smaller part of the process than the usual service architecture. From a technical viewpoint in PowerBuilder it is just web services.

Hello Carlos,

your question is quite generic, it is like "do you have an example of database application in powerbuilder"?

Can you provide information about the specific context?

SOAP, REST clients and shared objects are however the PB tools that will be your friends.

Best,

.m
