Like Yuri, I need a new source control product for PowerBuilder!

1) Is anyone using WizSource? If so, do you like it? Hate it?

2) What are the limitation in WizSource?

Thanks,

Olan

I've used it for a fairly long time.  It has been fantastic.

I like the fact that everything is in a standard database (i use sql server) so you can easily write your own reports if needed, or do anything else.

Also - it is fast over a VPN.

It uses check out/check in processing.   For the cost it is hard to beat.

Thanks, Mike!

After all my research and your recommendation, it looks like I'm going to recommend WizSource.

I've been using it for at least a couple of years and am also very happy with it.

Mike is customer #1 starting in 2005.

The main missing feature that other source control systems have is branching. It does support labels so it is possible to retrieve a prior version of your app via the batch tools. There is no Diff tool that comes with it. I recommend using ExamDiff (free) or ProDiff (formerly PBDelta).

Like Mike said, everything is in a database so no special server software or complex folder structures to maintain.

Thanks, Roland!

I've  recommended WizSource to my manager, so now we wait for the Wheels of Bureaucracy to grind their way through the system.

Roland, is there a TRIAL version of WizSource? My boss is FINALLY ready to let me test it.

Could we take this thread into email please?  olan.knight@csgi.com

Thanks,

Olan
