I've just migrated a COM Component target in PB10.5 to a .Net Assembly target in PB2017, but after seeing these posts about the future deprecation of the .Net Assembly target:

https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/future-of-net-assembly-target

It seems that I will soon need to find another solution.  I can see that PB2018 will have a C# Web API target but I need a client side .Net Assembly, not a server side one.  Will PB2018 also have a C# .Net Assembly target which will be suitable to deploy the in same way as the current .Net Assembly target on a client?

Hi Daryl;

  Yes, PB 2018 will include a C# .NET Assembly feature that will then replace the current PB2017Rx .Net Assembly target.

This will be a non-visual class.

Will the C# .Net Assembly be non-visual or will there be a way to display a DataWindow on the window of a .Net app?

Thanks Chris, I had hoped that would be the case but it wasn't entirely clear.  So worst case I'll just have to port my Powerscript code over to C#.
