hi all ,

 

I am using ole for connect a word document and puts data in it from my application ( inserts the data by bookmarks I have created in the document from the first place ).

Now the customer wants a much more complicated document with some tables ( un known how much ahead )

Doe's some one did that ?

I looked in Microsoft site for api to word but did not get any clear ways for how do to that .

Its a client / server app  pb 2017 r3 .

Yes, it is possible to automate word and write complete documents using OLE. But it is quite a lot to write!

You can find a helpful start in Word using the Build-In Visual Basic Editor for Makros. Ther the F2.Key bring syou a complete list of objects with it properties and methods.

Also a good start is to use the makro recorder to find the right objects. But the recorder doesn't use always the best way.

Hi,

What do you mean exactly with "with some tables"?

Data from tables?

Word tables, like tables in html?

Maybe mailmerge would be the way to go, it depends on what you have to do. See this one also:
