Hi,

we use Powerbuilder19 and are in the process of migrating to Powerbuilder21.

In our application when we minimize windows they are usually arranged in the lower left corner.

Now after the upgrade to windows 11 my minimized windows look like this:

We tried this with PB2019 and PB2021 and both versions have this error.
Does anyone know how to make the minimized windows look normal again?
I've tried setting the window-width manually but it didn't take and still displayed as above.

When i try the exact same thing in Windows 10 my windows look fine.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Friedrich ;

Thank you for opening support ticket # 7997 for this issue!

I just tested an MDI based application from PB2021 in my W10 and W11 test machines. I could not find any differences in the way an MDI Child window displays minimized between either O/S editions.

Note that I am using PB 2021 build 1506 on W11 version 21H2 build v22000.527 with feature pack 1000.22000.527.0 installed.

Please update your PB2021 to build 1506 (you have 1288) and also your W11 O/S build (if required) and try this test again.

Regards ... Chris

Adding to what John said, please open a support ticket with your test case so we can make sure in PB 2022 this is addressed.  PB 2022 will officially support Windows 11.

In 2022 of course! Just kidding! We are targeting to release it for summer.

Hello, Friedrich -

I do not believe Windows 11 is officially supported (yet) by any version of PowerBuilder. I think it is on the Roadmap for PB 2022.

Correct John. That support is targeted for PB2022.

@Friedrich - however, please open a support ticket for this issue & be sure to list your W11 version & build. If you can, also attach a simple test case.
