Resolved Why can't I start Appeon Workspace (Build 2333.00 32bit)?

Hi, Appeon Team

When I launched the titled Appeon Workspace on my tablet device (Android 6.0.1), I got a white screen.

My tablet device is a 64-bit Android, but in general, 32-bit applications are supposed to work as well.

Also, the 64-bit version of Appeon Workspace causes problems with the application we developed.

We are making a change from PowerServer2017 to PowerServer2020.
the 32-bit version of Appeon Workspace was running fine on PowerServer2017.

Hi Tatsuya ;

    The 64bit Android O/S is not supported by AWS in PS 2020. You would need to either upgrade your O/S (and/or device) to Android 7 or higher. Otherwise, only 32 bit Apps are supported as Android v6.x is now too old.

However, I have one more question.



It is not the application I developed that is not working properly, but the Appeon Workspace app itself.



In PS2017, my tablet was able to launch the Appeon Workspace App (Build 1758.00 32bit) without any problems.

This time, in PS2020, the Appeon Workspace App (Build 2333.00 32bit) cannot be launched properly.



I got your answer that only 32 bit applications are supported in Android v6.x. However, I am unable to launch the Appeon Workspace App (Build 2333.00 32bit) on my tablet. Why is this?

Exactly ... it was the AWS runtime restrictions that I was talking about in the Android v6.x O/S 32bit restriction.

I am sorry. My interpretation of the document was wrong.

I understood that Android 6 (64bit) OS is not supported in PS2020.

I'm also going to try the method suggested by Mr.Kai.

Hi Tatsuya,

Only Google Android 6.x (32-bit) is stated supported in the document, and Google Android 6.x (64-bit) is not officially supported. Even just running a 32-bit application on 64-bit Android could have a problem.

Anyway, please try Appeon Workspace build 2703 32-bit to see it works, you can download it from the page below.

Hi Mr.Kai ;

I was unable to solve the problem using the method you mentioned.

I suspected Web System View, but updating this to the latest version did not solve the problem.

It looks like I'll have to give up on replacing PS2017 with PS2020.
