Hi,

We are using a webbrowser control for displaying PDF files. It works nicely.

The only problem is that everytime the webbrowser is shown, it comes with default settings - like Showing thumbnails of pages is on and Two page view is off.

Is there a way to save these settings so the user doesn't need to set it again and again?

Thanks in advance.

Tomáš

Hi Tomáš;

  PB 2022 used the Chromium engine under-the-hood to drive the built-in web browser control.

  In PB 2022 R2, Appeon switched to using the WebView2 engine under-the-hood to drive the built-in web browser control.

  I am not sure if that might help your situation but if you can try the beta and let us know about this aspect - that would be great IMHO!

Hi Chris,

So I've tested the webbrowser control in PB 2022 R2 (2693). It looks a bit different but gets the job done - displays the PDF.

Also it remembers its (only) setting - pinned toolbar.

I guess it will work for us. Another thing I like - it is localized without any effort. The PB 2022 webbrowser had to be localized using a little trick.

Regards,

Tomáš

Hi Hi Tomáš;

That is super great news! Thank you for the update.

FYI: There should also be a few more "tweaks" to the new WB control when R2 goes GA based on other beta feedback we have received. ;-)

I forgot to mention it's PB 2022 MR 1900.
