When I do a

wb_1.Navigate("https://www.google.at/maps/dir/....")

Googles webside asks me to accept the terms of use. If I do so, my webside opens fine.

The next time I try this, I am asked again, I have to accept once more, it seems that the cookies from before have not been saved.

This did not happen in PB2021, once accepted the terms of use, I was never asked again.

Does anybody know why, how can I change this?

Thanks in advacne,

Bernhard

Hi Bernhard,

Thanks for reporting the problem! We can reproduce it too.

The Webbrowser in PB2022 1878 has the CEF version upgraded to chromium-102.0.5005.63. After analysis, we find this version of Chrome has some particular treatment for personal configuration information (see the attached screenshot). Selecting Cancel can reproduce the problem too. By default PB doesn’t process this operation and thus causes the same problem. I have submitted this bug to the engineer.

BTW: For the next version, we are considering replacing chromium with Webview2, so far no such problem in the internal version verification.

Best Regards,

Peter

Hi Chris,

sorry, I have to give more information about the versions I use ;-)

Well, I migrated a workspace from PB 2021 to PB 2022 1878, no other changes.

In PB 2022 I have to agree the terms of license every time I open mentioned webside, in PB 2021 I had to do it only once.

I have seen this on different PC's, all using W10

Regards,

Bernhard

Hi Bernhard;

FYI: In PB2022, Appeon updated the Chromium engine (used under the hood) that drives the built-in web browser control. So this might be a side effect of this update used by the PB 2022 runtime. Please open a Support Ticket for this issue and if possible, supply a simple PB App test case for Appeon to study this anomaly further. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Bernhard,

Would it be possible for you to create a public ticket and post the link here? We would also be very interested in this issue. Thanks

Hi Chris, Tobias,

thanks for your replies, as Peter Pang wrote above Appeon can reporduce the bug, I think there is no need open a support ticket.

Hi Bernhard;

  Are you saying that this did work in PB2021 but not in PB2022 (not mentioned)?

Hi.

I guess you are not manipulating CachePath... I ask because cookies should be stored there...

Andreas.
