Hello All,

We are trying to upgrade PB from 12.5 to 2019.

Now we are facing a problem with sending an email.

At the beginning the popup outlook window with DENY ... ALLOW... options - stopped appearing(but the email was sent , we saw it in 'sent items') and the application was stuck. The user had to reopen it.

So I found that There is a need to add

UseSimpleMAPI=yes to the PB.ini file.

The popup outlook window with DENY ... ALLOW... options appeared!!
and the email was sent like before and for the first time the application didn't stuck.
But if the user perform this scenario for the second time -
The popup outlook window with DENY ... ALLOW... options appeared!! and the email was sent But the application stuck.

Please advise

Regards Marina

Is the popup window you speak about the one asking for permissions. Something like "a program is trying to send ...."?

Make sure your anti virus is up to date. If it's not, Outlook will do this.

Meantime I added  also this to the pb.ini file  : Extended MAPI = no

now the application does not stuck(hopefully stay like that)

[PB]
Extended MAPI =no
UseSimpleMAPI=yes

if the problem will return, I will try your solution, there are many places in application that we send email...

Thank you very much guys

Hi Marina;

  Similar to René but I found that the problem was because of newer MS-Office "Outlook" editions. That is,  PB Apps must no longer use a continual Logon/Logoff approach. Previously, PB Apps would perform a Logon, Send, then Logoff iteration for each email sent. However, that seems to now irritate newer Outlook email client software. The fix that worked for me and many Appeon customers  was to only Logon / Logoff the email server once in your entire PB Application.

Hi Marina,

I had similar problems.

If I do not use MailLogOff function it works for me.

You may find tips in other threads to use MailLogOff only once when application closes. I had no luck with this.

HTH,

René
