Hi,

If a client machine has an older version of Cloud App Launcher and I relase a new version of it with my software, client gets this advice

Is there any way to force client to start using the new version of Cloud App Launcher? It is copied to the client automatically but what does the client have to do in order to use new version?

BR, Hannu

Hi Hannu,

There are two versions of the Cloud App Launcher.  The user-installable version should update itself automatically.  So I am guessing your organization deployed the admin version of the Cloud App Launcher.  The admin version must be deployed by the administrator and doesn't automatically update.

You might want to try what Francisco said have the users install the new Cloud App Launcher from the landing page.  The version on the landing page is the user-installable version that should automatically update in the future.

Best regards,
Armeen

The user-installable version should be enough.

In PB 2022 R2 there is no setting. The one the user download from this landing page is the user-installabe version. The CloudAppLauncherPublic_Installer.msi that your IT admin pre-installs for the user will be the admin version. Please note the one with the word "Public" in the file name is the admin version.

Hi Hannu,

One way is to have them go to the application's URL and click the Install Cloud App Launcher button:

This should update the launcher to the latest version.

Francisco

Not sure if there's a way to do this automatically, though
