Hello All,

I was attempting to install PowerBuilder 2022 on my workstation and was unable to install the required component in the SetupPrerequisites-2022 R3 folder.

I got the error below.

I would appreciate any helps on how to resolve this issue so I can continue with the installation.

Thanks,

Toan Nguyen

Hi Toan ;

Can you tell us ..

  • Is this install of PB on Windows 11?
  • Do you have Local Admin rights?
  • Are you running the online install or offline install mode?

Regards .. Chris

Hi Chris and Andreas,

This is an install on the Windows 10 machine. I do have the local admin rights. I tried to install both ways unsuccessfully. First, in window explorer, I clicked 'Run as administrator' on the Autorun.exe Second, I tried to install 'Run as administrator' in the Command Prompt. The installation failed on the required component. I did not have any issue installing PB2019 R3 since the 'dotnet-sdk-6.0.415-win-x64.exe' file was not required in the installation,

I don't have the ability to turn off the virus since this is the government workstation.

Any suggestions you have for me to try will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you Chris and Andreas!

Toan

Hi.

Are you running on a x64 OS? Have you considered turning off your antivirus?

Andreas.
