Installed Appeon PB2017 Universal  Ver 2017 Build 1858 with PowerServer

Using 32 Bit SQL Anywhere8.

Perfectly works in Powerbuilder Environment

When Deployed on Web (same) will not connect to ODBC after (Tested perfectly in ODBC Connectivity before deployment and also with AEM)  Web deployment environment.

Is it Bug? Any solution

Hi Suresh,

Please go to Toolkit > Configure > Application profile > DB settings to check if you had cheched correct database type.

And please go to AEM Welcome > Application > Transactions > Transaction Objects to make sure the transaction had map to correct data srouce and database type is correct.

If there is still the issue, create a ticket here https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search.

And please refer to below article to provide the Appeon server log and Appeon error log to us too, thanks.

Hi Suresh,

please be patient when asking on community.

People are here to help you, but understand their time is valuable too.

If you need issues to be fixed "ASAP", Appeon support is your place, https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search.

Also "Why these complication? Why cant Appeon directly map PB Profiles" is a matter of personal perspective.

Usually there is no complication, it is only a matter of reading and following the proper documentation.

This said, as I suggested in the first answer, did you go to AEM and map the ASA8 datasource to the PB transaction object (e.g. sqlca) for the deployed application?

Define a datasource (AEM server group) is different step from mapping to transaction object (AEM application group).

All in all, please allow the community to better understand what's happening on your side because we can't see your screen: that is, post a screenshot of the error you get when running the deployed application, or at least the error lines from  AEM -> server -> logging -> errorlog.

Best,

.m

Hi

Just responding to your email please dont think otherwise.

My team of nearly 15 people continuously for a weeks time put their best effort to resolve this.

Even with lot of bugs in PB 2012 we were successfully deployed our web application and its working fine.

As an experienced guy, before mailing any issues whatever had been mentioned by all MVPs had been tried.

My intention is to pave easy way for the entire PB developers. Even my earlier suggestion like integrating Mobile with PB had seen the light of the day.

I appreciate and always think Mr.Mazda is working hard to make Appeon Perfect. It was only natural to read from running or connected DBprofile into Power Server and save us from all these hardship. Worked earlier with PB Appeon it use to give no issues like this.

I will try to post entire work captured in a video to Appeon support team. So that I can apply for more copies once we are confident.

Sorry if it had hurt your feelings. From now on will try to catch up with Appeon.

Hi Suresh,

1) did you go to AEM and map the ASA8 datasource to the PB transaction object (e.g. sqlca) for the deployed application?

2) check for errors in AEM -> server -> logging -> error log.

Best,

Hi Meoni,

Thanks for the response.

1) I tried all available solution both from Internet and Appeon Help before commenting here.

2) put my tonnes of experience but miserably failed.

3) Installed several time PowerServer

4) Tried with SQL Anywhere 16 Developer Ed. still unable to connect via web

Why these complication? Why cant Appeon directly map PB Profiles (as most of us use PB environment)

waiting for responses from Appeon

Hi,

What's the detail error? it is work well in AEM? Pleake make sure you had setup transaction object to data source mapping.

https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/2017/server_configuration_guide_for_net/setting_up_transaction_object_to_connection_cache_mapping.html
