Not able to add a data source when trying to configure power server WEB. The drop down ODBC data source has only four default options listed. Can anyone help me with this? Please check the attachment. I captured the screenshot at the step where i am stuck.

Hi Marco,

I did add data source under "SYSTEM DSN" on ODBC 64 bit. but it still did not show up in the list of data profiles. So i thought of installing a 64 bit oracle client. but now Power builder IDE is not able to connect to the database.  Does power builder IDE supports 64 bit Oracle client??

Regards,

Naveen

PowerBuilder IDE only supports 32-bit client. But if you compile applications using the latest version of PowerBuilder then the compiled app can support 64-bit.

I tried to connect the application which is compiled using latest power builder with 64 bit Oracle client(11.2.0.4). It still did not connect. But i was able to connect with the 32-bit ones.

Hello,

the "add data source" panel lists "System DSN" data sources. Please check you didn't configure "User DSN" data sources in the ODBC administrator.

Also, be sure you start ODBC administrator 64bit if you are running on a 64bit server (because PowerServer 64 bit will be installed).

Best,

.m
