I am using the Treeview control with checkboxes and pictures. The pictures are a mix of 16x16 ico and bmp files.

The checkbox and picture touch each other. I want there to be a pixel between the two. Is there a way to achieve that, perhaps sending a windows message?

Hi.

I'm not aware of a message you can send to achieve that. In an older conversation, you did that question among others. Olan had proposed to "manipulate" the icons (Treeview Issue). I wonder if an icon with some added transparency around would be a solution. I've seen this as a proposed solution in winforms development (.net - Winforms: Is there a way to put some space between image and checkbox in treeview? - Stack Overflow)... Of course, in .net things are different. Here you would have to "touch" the original icons...
