I just noticed that if I have a column in a DW with a DDDW edit type, and a tooltip defined, when that column has the focus (so the entry in it appears selected) hovering the mouse over it will not pop up the tooltip. Hovering the mouse over its drop-down arrow at the right will still pop up the tooltip. And if I hit Tab and move the focus to another column, that first DDDW column shows the tooltip normally, when hovering over its contents.

Is there any way to avoid this behaviour? Is it a bug that should be fixed?

Fine, John, that explains in a technical sense why it is happening. But from a user point of view it doesn't make sense. At the least this seems like a design flaw, that PB doesn't apply the same tooltip to that edit control.

Why could that not be fixed?

H, Dan -

When the DDDW column has input focus, the mouse cursor is not over the DDDW, it's over the Edit Control that PB superimposes over the data display area of the DDDW column. You can verify this by moving the mouse cursor over the drop-down arrow, where the tooltip will appear.

Hi John .. and the ToolTip will still show when the mouse is over the arrow within the DDDW control - even if the DDDW's column has focus.
