Hello everyone,

when using Themes the window size changes.

The size is different in the IDE/With Themes/ Without Themes:

Or:

Take a look at the space between the Button "none" and the window border.

  • Is there any way to have the same available space within the window when using Themes as when no Themes are used?
    • Is it possible without changing the window border size?
  • Tab objects do also seem to grow when using Themes, is that correct?
  • Will future versions of PB address this issue?

We would like to have the same space between the button and the window border when using Themes and not using Themes.

Thank you in advance. It would be a massive effort to adjust each window when using Themes.

Cheers,

Thilo

Good morning,

we can provide this simple test case.

The demo app here does not use the PFC layer. The problem however is still the same.

When you start the app with Themes the Tab-Object grows (as can be seen at the gap to the buttons placed on the windows)

Thank you for the quick response and effort to answer our questions.

Regards

Thilo

Hi Thilo ... I would suggest opening a support ticket for this issue and then attaching your test case PB App from above to that ticket.

Hi Thilo;

  • The window size does change when a Theme is applied. That is a known behaviour. Mainly the Window frame's thickness is affected. The Theme feature does not adjust any controls though for these Window class changes at runtime (in my experience).
  • The Window thickness change though does makes it harder to grab the Window frame & resize it. There is also no Window "grab icon" in the lower right-hand corner when a theme is active. This again makes it harder for the App user to grab & resize the Window frame.
  • I cannot reproduce any tab-able object size changes when a Theme is applied. I have tested this under W10 and W11 (latest builds) & cannot reproduce this on my test machines.
  • I would suggest opening a Support Ticket for the above issues so that Engineering can respond to you in more detail and especially, what their plans there might be to address these issues in the future. Also, please provide a simple test case PB App for these issues.

Regards ... Chris
