I get the following message when I open a UserObject or a Window in the IDE:

The dimensions of one or more picture buttons have been changed to preserve the pictures´s original size

So I have to save any opened UO or Window, even if nothing has chenged.

Even if saved, next time I open the UO or Window the same message appears.

Where does it come from and can I stop it?

Any idea?

Hi Marco,

Do your user objects, windows or picture buttons have custom ancestors in your app (inherited from another user object/window)?

If the dimensions of a picture button are not fixed in the ancestor first, all descendants will display this message and will continue to display it until the size of the picture button in the ancestor is fixed.

Hi Luc,

it seems you are right. In some of my picture buttons the property "originalsize" is set to "true". When I set this to "false" the message doesn´t appear anymore (for this picture button). But there are tousends of picture buttons in my app. Any idea how to set all of them to "false"?

Hi Chris,

in all three cases: No. There is no restriction in writing to the folders or to the PBLs. There is no anti-virus and no source control.

It´s funny: I can make changes to my UOs or windows and save them. When I open the UO or windows my changes are there but the message still appears: "The dimensions of one or more picture buttons have been changed to preserve the pictures´s original size"

What´s going on?

Hi Marco;

  Can you tell us ..

1) Is the Workspace folder, it's sub-folder(s), external objects and / or PBL(s) write protected somehow.

2) Is a Windows Policy restriction / ant-virus stopping your PBL updates?

3) Is your PB App under the control of a source code manager?

Regards ... Chris
