I just upgraded to PowerServer 2020. We did all of our development using PowerServer 2019 with no problems. Since the update to 2020, no one can access our web app. Everyone receives the message, "The Appeon Xcelerator plug-in cannot be loaded." This message appears on all browsers.

We have unstalled all PowerServer components from the computers multiple times.

We have verified the sites are in the trusted zone

We have verified the ActiveX security settings as described in the knowledge base.

We have manually downloaded and executed the Update.exe program.

We have opened the browsers as an administrator.

Any help would be appreciated. We are scheduled to go live in a week.

Thank you,

Joe Hess

We got things to work by reinstalling everything on the server. I'm sure what was going on. No time to investigate.

Thanks for all the input.

Joe

Did you upgrade but your PowerServer and the PowerServer Toolkit to version 2020?

Did you do a full deploy of your application from the PowerServer Toolkit to the PowerServer after upgrading?

H, Armeen.

We redeployed the application since we had to uninstall PS2019 before installing PS2020. That did not help. We ended up basically restarting from scratch which included reinstalling IIS. Everything is working, now.

Thank you,

Joe

Hi Joe,

instead of the browser, use the IWA.

To run an IWA app on the client machine, you will need to install it first. You will need to append "iwarunner.html" at the end of the application URL in a Web browser

This is almost always a better deployment option.

fwiw, i have had no problems with PS2020 on chrome or edge.

I usually run it using a browser because i am doing a demo and need to say - 'look at this, its in a browser!'.

most of our customers use IWA instead of a browser, they like NOT having the browser, and is easier to manage.

Hi Joe;

Sounds like you have been very diligent in trying to get this to work. I would suggest opening a Support Ticket for this issue.

Regards ... Chris
