Hi, I've started testing Powerclient in Powerbuilder 2019R3 for our existing application and it seems to be working ok, except it doesn't display the correct taskbar icon in Windows 10.  The application and the shortcut all show the correct icon, but once the program is running the taskbar icon is a "blank page" icon. Has anyone else seen this before?  I'm assuming it should be showing the correct icon from the application exe?

This is the icon that is displayed in the taskbar

Thanks for your replies Chris and Armeen,

After shutting down my computer last night and restarting it this morning, the task bar icon is showing correctly now. I think it may have been some caching issue with my computer. When I originally built the Powerclient project it failed because my resource files all used absolute paths so I've had to change the application and the resource files to use relative paths.  I didn't change all the application paths to relative paths before I first successfully built the Powerclient application, so I think the very first time I ran the application it wouldn't have had the application icon embedded.  Even after updating all the paths to relative paths and the icons working correctly it still used the incorrect taskbar icon that it probably would have used initially.

Glad to say a restart fixed it.

I've got a few other questions about the Powerclient and project organisation, but I'll read up first and see if I can find the answers, otherwise I'll be back with more questions.

Hi Daryl;

  It should be showing the icon assigned to the current opened window - not necessarily the App icon (which could be different).

Thanks Chris, the window had the correct (application) icon. I think it has resolved itself now, I'll post details above.

Is your desktop shortcut and start menu shortcut showing correct icons?

Hi Armeen, yes, the desktop shortcut, start menu and the main window title bar icon were all correct. It was just the taskbar icon that was wrong. I think it has resolved itself now, I'll post above with details.
