In the IDE, I need to replicate the look of one datawindow onto another.  so i need to display them both on the screen at the same time.

the tab interface in the IDE does not allow me to pull one tab off in order to resize it below another tab.  the only option is to cascade all the windows.

this is the same way the tabbed windows work in the runtime.

the interface should allow us to pull tabbed windows into floating windows.

Hi Mike;

  You could easily do that when your APP was using PB's "Dockable" Windows feature. Unfortunately, that feature was discontinued.  :-(

However, I really like your enhancement suggestion.  :-)

Hi Mike,

Maybe a workaround could be to open 2 instances of Powerbuilder?

you can cascade the window sheets to get them to not be maximized.

its less an issue for developers (we are used to working around the IDE limitations) but just a plain example of the PB tabbed windows having the same exact issue that tabbed windows have for end-users. all customers/users expect to be able to peel off a tab just like a browser.
