Hi everyone!

I just tried the new feature of tabbed view and activated it in my frame window. It's woukd be a nice feature and useful for my application.

My frame window first opens a fixed screen which is a not a mdi sheet, it's a child window. From there all the mdi sheets are opened.

When application starts (running from IDE), this first child window is also tabbed, like the other mdi sheets, when I open it.

Trying to close this last window using the closing X on the top of the tab, causes my closing dialog "Do you want  to exit?"

All working fine up to now.

Clicking "YES" for leaving the app, causes the IDE to crash .

maybe there is a problem closing the CHILD window. Is ist possible to make the child window without tab? I don't need it there.

best regards

Stephan

Hi Stephan;

The Tabbed View feature is only for an MDI Frame window and no other style. Do not use this feature on any other window type.

Hi Chris

:-) I do not want to use it on other windows than mdi-type windows. But it appears.

I expected, it only appears on mdi-type windows.

No way to prohibit the tabbed view on child or main windows? It makes no sense on my "dasahboard" Window and I do not need it there.

IDE crash seems to be after closing the app.

Is there a different closing event, wenn clicking the tab - "x"?

Regards

Stephan

There is no difference for CHILD or POPUP windows. They are still owned by the MDI Frame (as in the past).

There should be no change in the App close processing.

If you like, please open a Support Ticket & attach the App crash Dump to the ticket.

If this crashing problem is a repeatable problem - then please attach a simple Test Case PB App for us to review in the ticket.
