Hello, i am working on my PowerBuilder 2017 R3 with an OFFLINE license on my machine.

I've also installed the new PowerBuilder 2019 but i cannot use the same offline license to run both (even not at the same time).

I guess i need to switch back to ONLINE license type and use the auto-logoff feature.

My question is: How to revert my actual offline license to online? should i deactivate it and the reassign it as online?

tia,

Hi Simone,

Here are the steps to follow to deactivate your offline license, and work with an online license.

1. Deactivate your offline license:

https://www.appeon.com/support/documents/appeon_online_help/pb2017r3/appeon_license_user_guide/ch03s02.html#deactivating_an_offline_license

2. Reassign the license to your Appeon Account as an "Online" License.

3. Log in to PowerBuilder using your Appeon Account credentials

4. Enable "Auto login at startup" and "Sign out on exit" on both PowerBuilder 2017 R3 and PowerBuilder 2019.

You should now be able to hop back and forth between PowerBuilder IDE's easily simply by closing one and opting the other.

Cordially,

Mariano C.
