Hello Community,

PB Version: 2017 V3, soon to move up to current 2019.

In SVN usage, there is no SVN capability in the Library (whether rt-click or menu items), but only in the System Tree. Therefore, we cannot even check-in/out multiple objects at once. Is this a bug, or not implemented in 2017 release, or expected behavior?

In reading 2019 documentation on the Appeon website, it is not altogether clear to me.

I really want SVN in the Library! :)

Thanks for any insight,

Jason Lipman

Hello Jason,

source control integration for SVN and GIT is not supported for the library painter. Using git you can commit or revert multiple changes by right-clicking on a particular library or target and then chose the objects you want. We've moved away from subversion so I'm not sure how this is handled via SVN, sorry.

We're on 2019R2 here. I don't think it changes with 2019R3, either. The help file mentions that you can lock multiple objects by selecting a library, target or workspace in the system tree:

Thanks, Ben. I have not used the System Tree ever in my years using PB. Looks like I'll need to open it just for SVN stuff. :(

Yeah, same here. You get used to it, though. ;)
