Is Powerbuilder 2021 supported for the new MSOLEDBSQL 18.7.2 drivers released on April 9th this year?

Has anyone updated to the newest 18.* driver and had success with existing applications?

Hi.

Officially, you won't get any support for PB 2021. It's EOMM (End of Mainstream Maintenance) since 28/04/2023 and expected to become EOL (End of Life) in 04/09/2024. Even if you have Premium Support, you should not expect any change like that. You should plan to upgrade to PB 2022 R3 which is an LTS version.

Since 18.7.2 was released after PB 2021 and we aren't updating it since it's EOMM I think what Andreas said is good recommendation. Upgrade to PB 2022 R3 so you are on a long-term support version and you can use even newer version of MSOLEDBSQL.

Thanks Armeen. That's the plan for the next couple months, just curious if there was anything official.

I did install 18.7.2 and didn't see any noticeable issues after a couple tests on our apps.
