Resolved SMTPClient without authentication

Hi,

How to use the new PB2022R2 SMTPClient without authentication?

I mustn't authenticate to the SMTP server because it's set to reject authentication attempts.

I tried simply not set username and password but I'm getting error -15 when I'm trying to send my emails.

Is there a way how to do it?

Looks like an update to support this will be in PB 2022 R3. :-)

I haven't tried it but based on the comments I've seen online, this feature seems to have been a rush job.

Hi Tomas,

 

Thanks for posting this question. Currently, SMTPClient must set the password, otherwise, it returns -15.

Can you submit a bug to the support system at https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug? So that the problem can be properly tracked and handled and we can provide a hotfix there for you to verify.
